Believe it or not Robert Bowery is descended from Elizabeth Barnhart, the daughter who was supposed to have married a "Bawney" man. It so happens that a will cleared up this misspelled name. Conrad Barnhart's will was read to see if Elizabeth had indeed married a Bowery (John Bowery to be exact). That proved our connection, so will ya'll accept a Bowery from Texas as a "cousin"? Hope you will as we are the long lost relatives who have been found. John Bowery married into a very fine, fun family for which we are thankful. Greetings to all of you.

Son of Mike Barnhart, grandsons of Helen and Leslie Barnhart. Our part of the Barnhart family came from Vienna, Missouri and now mainly lives in the St. Louis area. Apparently before the civil war they lived in Boston for awhile, not exactly sure though. I am currently in the US Army Infantry, in 3-15 3rd INF Div at Fort Stewart, GA. I've known Pat for longer than either of us is willing to admit....although it seems like just yesterday that we were young mothers (her daughter Trish and my daughter Katie were born within a month of each other in 1969). Actually, it wasn't THAT long ago that we were in junior high school!

In addition to our life-long friendship we have a very special connection that doesn't happen to too many people: Following my divorce, twenty-two years ago, I bought a "new" house for me and Katie. The day after I moved in, I found out that Pat and her family had lived there when she was in grade school! Enhancing the coincidence, Pat's father moved to a nearby apartment several years before his death in January 2000; we enjoyed our occasional reminiscences during his walks around the old neighborhood. I'm so delighted to hear of Pat's new life, and eagerly look forward to meeting Neil...who must be a very special man!
